We have no water infiltration or redistribution data on this particular soil. The water contents as a function of potential were from pressure membrane apparatus data in the lab. Nkalai and Zartman (1985) report that noncalcareous soils have higher hydraulic conductivities than calcareous soils at the same water content. In situ soil water release curves indicated that calcareous soil have more water than noncalcareous soil at the same soil water potential in paired horizons.
Orla
The Orla (Fine-loamy, gypsic, thermic Typic Hallogypsids) soils are
formed from lacustrine or alluvial deposits. This series is shallow, well
drained, moderately permeable. The soils are located on level to gently
