I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I earned my B.S. in Environmental Science (Natural Resources option) from Oklahoma State University in 2013. I then spent 10 weeks working as a remedial English teacher at Haramaya University in Alemaya, Ethiopia. I returned to Oklahoma State University in August of 2013 to begin my M.S. in Plant and Soil Sciences. My current research deals with developing a groundwater recharge estimation method using soil moisture data collected by the Oklahoma Mesonet system. I completed my M.S. in May of 2015 and will be continuing on under Dr. Ochsner for my Ph.D.
